This tale is an intro to the author's new series, the world of the Sentinel Demons. As the title suggests, there are...well...Sentinel demons, i.e. the good guys, ergo, it follows that there are bad demons too. It is an entire tale in its own right, but it is the first in a series of tales featuring the Winston brothers.
In this tale, we meet Zach, a Sentinel demon whose role (other than safe-guarding humans and humanity) is to recruit more Sentinels, and so when he's handed a rescue mission by his king, he's not best pleased...until he sees exactly who he's about to rescue. She, Kat, is a voluptuous woman with the biggest, most giving heart, and it's the latter that might cause her soul - and more - to be lost, unless Zach can convince her to make a demon's bargain with him...
The tale is pretty fast-paced, and refreshingly, is not overly-heavy on the 'world-building'/has a storyline that provides a non-cliffhanger tale, and also goes on to set the scene for more tales in this series/has two leads who were made for each other/plenty of the hot, steamy love scenes that this author is known for/introduces us to the other male leads of the series, one of whose tale is hinted at at the end of this one/and, best of all, ends in the start of a HEA, complete with...I won't spoil it, but it was the kind of HEA that I as a lover of romance, would have wished for. And, there's not going to be too much of a wait for the next tale, which is out around Nov 2013.
