Just what I wanted,
This review is from: DAB-150M MP3 with FM radio (Electronics)
When my Samsung mp3 player let me down I looked for one that had DAB as well as FM and mp3 player. This Sanyo item suited me although it's bigger than the Samsung but it still fitted in my pocket. I thought it odd that there were no instructions on how to download mp3s but discovered I could drag and drop them when the Sanyo was connected via the lead supplied. It takes longer than the Samsung but that had special software. I've had it for a month now and am pretty satisfied.

Little gem,
By Andy (London) - See all my reviews
This review is from: DAB-150M MP3 with FM radio (Electronics)
If your first priority is excellent DAB reception and your second is using rechargable AA batteries then there's no beating this little gem.
My (very ugly) Bush PSDAB2004 DAB finally gave up after 6 years of excellent service. A (pretty) Philips DAB DA1103 replacement was ok but reception was comparatively poor in low signal areas. I was tempted with the Roberts Sport DAB and all the excellent reviews, but alas, internal rechargeable battery. So resisted. So glad I held out and took a risk on this one. All that I rerally care about is that it can pick-up a signal wherever I am, and to my surprise its reception is a slight improvement on the Bush DAB. So for those that want to know about other features ... Sound quality: Well its radio! Most radio bradcast is not of the highest quality even digital. But anyway the stereo DAB and FM stations sound more than good enough, even with my not so expensive in-ear earphones. FM: Haven't really used it that much, but it works. MP3: Haven't used it at all, and probably never will. For me its an unnecessary gimmick. Ease of use: Well I managed to get through all the functions without using the instructions. Bit more tricky working out how to set the pre-set stations though. Read the instructions later and didn't learn anything new. Looks: Exactly what you see in the pic. It's small and compact. Very portable. Battery Life: Not too sure, I always carry spare AA's and just change as required. But I would guess that 8hrs DAB play is probably in the right ball park. Lets just say I don't seem to be changing batteries any more often than with my old DAB. Disappointments: Would have liked a simple graphic equaliser. Even just listening to Talksport/5-Live this can tone the speech to your preference. Also, the Hold button disables the volume control. Silly!

The Sanyo DAB-150M boasts 8 hours battery life on DAB and up to 30 hours when listening to MP3 music files (transferred by way of USB). The Sanyo DAB-150M uses two AA batteries and has space to store 8 favourite stations.
