Manufacturer's Description

Get ready for a fictional account of the world's most popular video game hero ... of the 1980s. Matt Hazard is coming out of retirement and making his next-gen "comeback" against all his old enemies in a hilarious parody of the last 25 years of gaming.

“It’s Hazard Time!” The classic 80’s videogame star, Matt Hazard, is back in Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard™. Eat Lead sees Matt Hazard, voiced by Will Arnett (“30 Rock” and “Arrested Development”), get his chance to prove once and for all that he is the king of shooters when Wallace “Wally” Wellesley, new owner of mega game publisher Marathon Megasoft, voiced by Neil Patrick Harris (“How I Met Your Mother” and “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog”), gives Matt his comeback role starring in a new title for Xbox 360 and PS3.

In the world of Eat Lead, however, everything stops being a game and becomes reality when it is clear that Wally is using the new game to bring about Matt’s death once and for all. With only the mysterious “QA” to help him, Matt must fight against zombies, cowboys, space marines and more to keep his game from being over.

With an original storyline by 2008 Writers Guild of America Videogame Writing Award winner, Dave Ellis, Eat Lead’s unique blend of comedy and action will provide gamers with a shooter experience like no other with hardcore gunfights interspersed with wickedly smart humour.

2.0 out of 5 stars A game with potential. Wasted potential. 1 Dec 2009
Platform for Display:Xbox 360
Fun: 1.0 out of 5 stars
First off, let me just state that this is not a good game at all. It plays like, well, every single other over-the-shoulder shooter in the world. It has an acceptable soundtrack, and the writing can be clever sometimes, but the gameplay is so awful that playing this game feels like a chore. Enemies can, and will, spawn in directly behind you. And they will spawn in droves. Expect to spend way too much time re-doing the same encounter because a random enemy spawned behind you and one-hit-killed you with a shotgun. The boss fights are just as bad, as enemies spawn during those, too. It has some fairly funny segments - a boss battle late in the game parodying JRPGs, for instance - but they just can't make up for the horrendous gameplay. On the bright side, it has some fairly easy achievements, so if you like gamerpoints, go hog wild. If you want a good game, just walk right on by.

1.0 out of 5 stars Pants 29 Jun 2012
Platform for Display:Xbox 360
Fun: 1.0 out of 5 stars
This game is a send up of action games and it is funny for about 5 minutes then it is tedious. Also the graphics and game play are nothing to right home about. Get it if it is really cheap otherwise avoid it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Funny game! 21 April 2011
By Soupia
Platform for Display:Xbox 360
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
If you're not interested in top-notch graphics, but want to play a funny and casual shooter then you should really give the game a chance.
It may not look polished, compared to today's standards, however, it's dialogues and references to other games and movies are really funny and "to the point". I also could not stop laughing at certain character names and certain level, which resembled other games and were meant to be funny.
At first, the controls may look dreadful, but you'll get used to them quite fast! Most of the game's achievements are easy to get, so it is really worth trying, especially if you're an achievement freak!
