The DUB-E100 is a high-speed USB 2.0 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet adapter for Windows-based desktop and notebook PCs. This adapter is designed to simply plug into any available Universal Serial Bus (USB) port on your computer to connect you to a Fast Ethernet network. Based on USB 2.0, the adapter extends the transfer speed of earlier USB Fast Ethernet adapters to true 10/100Mbps connectivity.The USB port of the adapter gives you throughput of up to 480Mbps to your computer. That's about 40 times faster than USB 1.1, the earlier USB specification. Now you can take full advantage of your Fast Ethernet network speed to transfer files, send e-mail and upload/download images.As a USB device, this adapter eliminates the need to open your computer's cover to plug a network card into an expansion slot. It also saves your notebook's PC Card slot for other use. Installation and use are further simplified by living up to USB's out-of-the-box installation approach to connecting computer peripherals. You will not have to set IRQ's and other settings for your network connection. configuration is automatic at computer power up, and the adapter is hot pluggable. The DUB-E100 is equipped with an attached USB 2.0 cable that directly connects to any USB port on your computer. It is backward compatible with USB 1.1, so you can use the adapter with USB 1.1 ports as well (in case no USB 2.0 port is available). DO NOT BUY! may sabotage your system

I spent half a day trying to get this item to work. Phone support was a crime: I consider that they have actually stolen a chunk of my life.
The drivers that come with this will actually wreak havoc on your system: they do not work with the device, you can't uninstall them, can't delete them, and you can't overwrite them with a working driver. A little googling will reveal that the programming for the drivers is pure garbage.
I think I have to reformat my system to get them off.
How can they release a product like this that clearly does not belong on the shelves?
I will never purchase another d-link item (I bought a d-link router back in the day when the tech support wasn't outsourced and I had no problems getting help for that).
