I suppose for the price this isn't a bad bit of kit but it does have some irritating limitations e.g. you think you are fast forwarding a video file and you end up back at the start.
By far the worst issue I have encountered is its request to upgrade the firmware - DON'T. The first time I acceded to its request I suffered a power outage half way through the upgrade and ended up having to send it back to D-Link as it completely corrupts the firmware and the unit won't do anything.
Returned from D-Link and working again. Starts asking if I want to upgrade the firmware- normally this is a good idea as it sorts out known bugs. This time I use a cable LAN connection (as advised by D-Link) AND a UPS just to make sure.
Unit upgrades and now I can't access any media over the wireless connection - it can see the files all right but the minute I try to play anything the unit locks up and the only way to restore any functionality is to unplug it from the mains.
What I pain - let's see if the D-Link technical support can sort this out.
