Satisfied customer. 5 Dec 2005
Simple to install and easy to use. Good picture quality on my 1280 x 1024 flatscreen. I bought this to switch between my Slackware Linux installation and a Windows box.

It's small enough to tuck out of the road and the cables are wired in, which reduces bulk and awkwardness. You can easily switch computers by hitting the Scroll Lock key twice (it beeps) and the number 1 or 2, or if you set it where you can get at it theres a switch on the front (I use the keyboard. Construction isn't very good - but probably good enough.

Works well although I had a few early problems with my Logitech Trackball (Trackman Wheel using a PS2 / USB adaptor)but a change to the IMPS/2 protocol in the Xorg.conf sorted it out. Also worked with my Logitech wireless mouse where my last switchbox didn't. Overall this works, and seems reasonable value.

I have been looking for a KVM unit for quite a while.

This D LINK unit is very simple and does exactly what it says on the box-

and with high quality connections and a nice looking to bag its a bargain.

brilliant!

It's a KVM switch. With 2 ports. It does what it says on the tin and does it well. I can't comment on mouse performance as I use two mice but the keyboard and the monitor work well enough and give me good performance. It's also quite easy to switch using the scroll lock key and a number.

Compared to some switches going for around £50 upwards, the price can't be beaten. I was a bit skeptical at first that it was a cheap and nasty piece of kit but I have no problems with it. Buy one!
