Took a little while to set up but this was a failure of my computer's LAN card driver, but once reinstalled it was plain sailing. The two devices are very well made good quality plastic housings in a neat design with informative diode display. Now the system is up and running the device(s) work well, really very well in fact. I bought this to assist my WiFi system which was fine for email and web browsing but suffers from the occasional break inn connection which was a pain for my son's online gaming experience and video streaming. Hard to believe that the household noisy electrical ring main can support such data rate but these devices work a treat and checking the 'ping' rates show that the link is almost is as good as a solid wired Ethernet link. I love a technology that meets my high expectation and this does. Great concept, well executed...10/10 !!

After trawling the usual sites I chose The D-link DHP-303/B Powerline ethernet adapter, its got good performance and is bang on the money, however you need to consider where it is to be used, the two units have to be on the same electrical circuit or they will not work, this is not widely advertised, this means that you cannot use them on separate electrical circuits that are protected by circuit breakers. I'm not sure if this applies if you have the old rewirable fuses in your house, I suspect they may work if you do.

Couldn't be simpler. Package arrived, opened the box, plugged one powerline into the router and the other into my computer upstairs - instant connection. Great solution to poor / limited wi-fi connectivity in parts of the house. Thick stone walls affect wi-fi range quite significantly. Worked instantly just by plugging in. There is software with the package which seems to offer some security settings etc, but you don't need to install it if you don't want to. I have a netgear router which is a few years old and these work no probs. Currently connected at 100Mbs.

We purchased these, like many others, as the wireless signal for our PS3 online gameplay was not strong enough where the TV was situated.

Plug one into the socket and connect the supplied network lead between (in our case the BT Homehub) the router and the plug. Insert the other unit into a socket close to where you want the other connection (in our case behind the TV for the PS3) and connect the supplied network lead to the PS3. We did have some setup issues but my son sorted these and seemed to be due to the sequence of switching everything on, so RTFM.

However when on you lose the Wireless connection for the cordless mouse and keyboard if you have one, it must block the signal, so if someone is playing the PS3 then the computer is unusable. If you have a USB keyboard and mouse, all should be OK, although obviously I have not tried it.

Well I know this technology has been out a few years now but I was convinced it was never going to be as good as a proper ethernet cable.

How wrong I was !!

This piece of kit must be the best bit of electronics I've ever bought.

As all the other reviewers say - easy !

Plug in - press the buttons and away you go.

Saved me having to run a new cable to another room in the house and with Xbox 360 - the perfect gaming experience.

Just to clear some confusion - the kit is labelled DHP-303/B on the outer packaging.
In the box there are two ethernet adaptors both called DHP-302 - odd but thats how D-Link ship them as a kit.

Further more - excellent service and delivery as usual from Amazon.

Buy it !

Bought these to avoid the Wireless issue I had with my wifes Desktop PC - USB Wireless Adapter would constantly lock computer. I have complicated wiring in the house as it has been extended multiple times - however all I needed to do was plug the units in, connect ethernet cables and turn on the desktop - job done. One point not raised by other reviewers is that they have a plug socket in which other units do not - so you can still plug something else in to the socket you are using, which is excellent.

Got these on high recommendation, and I can honestly say, I am very happy. Wireless to my upstairs room, was poor, but these have transformed my network. If wireless is not working for you, then these will do the trick.

I honestly did not believe all the other reviewers when they said they just plugged them in and everything worked... never really happened to me before :)

So I gave it a go, no manuals or instructions just plugged the LAN cable into the one of the LAN ports on the router, other end into the D-LINK and plugged it into the power socket.

Plugged the PC lan cable in the other DLINK and plugged into the wall.

REJOICE, It is as good as a wired connection directly to the router, speeds are great and I can now stream (over these bad boys) my HD movies into my living room through the PS3!!

If you are wondering whether to go for these or play around with wireless repeaters, pringle can boosters etc. please don't! go for these!
