5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Show! 29 Oct 2010
By rfish
Format:DVD
D.Gray-Man follows the story of exorcist Allen Walker. He's left arm is formed by a substance called innocence that can transform into a weapon for destroying Akuma. Akuma are machines created by the Millenium Earl for destroying humanity.

D.Gray-Man is, in my opinion, definitely worth watching. Although unfortunately the remaining episodes of 51 onwards have yet to be dubbed it is still fun to watch with good action and humor. The characters are great, each with their own personalities, so they are easy to get attached to. The storyline is interesting as well. There are alot of episodes that weren't based on the manga but it is still worth buying and a good way to spend your time.

Although I am dissapointed the rest of the episodes haven't been release - no one should be put of buying it too much, its still something i'd recommend for a good show.

update: I like the music as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this series 19 Nov 2011
By L. Woolridge TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:DVD
Anybody who has heard the whispers of D.gray man will know how good it is. This particular boxset in my opinion is giving you the main back story, I do really enjoy it and my Girl friend got into almost straight away, she utterly adores the characters. We both watch Naruto and Bleach and this is definitely up there with one of my favourite animes. The only niggle is hat people will always tell you "don't buy this because the second half isn't being released" Come on! Give the author a break, she has been extremely ill in the past year or so, i'm sure she has bigger priorities, it will come out when she is ready. The second part of D. Gray man is when it begins to get better, Level 3 and 4 enemies and more Noah fights. Just be patient and hopefully you will be extremely pleased!

2.0 out of 5 stars Only half the Series beware 22 July 2010
Format:DVD
If you're thinking about buying this series, don't. Reason being it's not the complete series. It may contain 51 episodes but D.Gray-man is over 102 episodes in length.

Why is this a problem? Funimation in America released the DVD set containing up to Episodes 51 over 7 months ago with no signs that they will continue this series(They've released their October release schedule already)

Because of this, the series has been left half finished, you will not get a complete feeling when finishing up this boxset. And with no sign that D.Gray-man will ever be finished, why waste your money?

My advice, hold off until the last 51 episodes get dubbed, if they ever do, otherwise you're throwing your money away.

I realise some people may vote me down on the grounds that this isnt a *Review*, It is, more reviewing the product and the release method.

3.0 out of 5 stars Mediocre
It's ok but I found the pace a bit inconsistent and I struggled to get to the end of it. It was not that bad and I liked the art work but on the whole the plot was a bit thin.
