5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth viewing 5 July 2007

This DVD being Steven's personnnel account is very diffrent from th Official news reels. Although taken by the same people these are behind the scenes shots, the sound is dubbed, 16 mm film at the time was silent. For a military vehicle enthusasit it is a must. The markings on the vehicles and kit set up are fascinating. Any serious student of WW2 will be intrested in the 'off cuts' of official film also included.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not the complete film? 27 Oct 2009
By M. King
Its a shame this is an abridged version, the BBC showed the whole film during the DDay anniversary several years ago, which I used to have a copy of on Video, and its prob a full 30 minutes longer - dont know why theyve chopped it?? Still good tho.

5.0 out of 5 stars A worthy collection of footage 23 Nov 2009

I bought this DVD on spec, hoping it would be worth watching. It is! Good mix of archive B&W footage with very good quality colour footage of WW2. A great personal account in film. Should you buy it? Yes, undoubtedly.
