Listening to these journalist reports make the D-Day invasion come alive. They were there and you hear the authenticity in there voices - far removed from the studio broadcast BBC voices we associate with, for example, news reels of the time.

Their voices reach across the decades and in many ways are superior to reporters of today.

They report factually, with a positive but truthful tone, but also capture the feeling and atmosphere of the hours and days.
In my opinion an absolutely fantastic record of the time for any one interested in the WW2 and D Day

Great insight into one of the greatest days in history, on being able to write this review bears testament to the sacrifice many gave on this operation. Some of the dispatches put you right in the thick of battle, with some expert reporters using the crude technology they had at that time. Listen and take in the atmosphere!

My father was at Normandy and to listen to these broadcasts brings home the importance of these events now a part of history.
