Good handy guide for deciphering written Czech but the pronunciations weren't understood by a lot of people in Prague, Plzen and other places. Could have just been us mucking things up but even the basic dvuh for two was not understood by people.

Worth it's price if only for menu reading!

Lonely Planet phrasebooks are easily some of the best phrasebooks out there (generall beating the Rough Guide ones for me). This is my second after the German phrasebook. It won't make you a master of the lingo, but it'll make you understood - the pronunciation guide is very good, and it makes Czech seem less daunting than it probably should seem.

I did find it oddly difficult to find the most basic phrases/words like 'yes', 'no', 'please' and 'thank you' though. In fact, the last one wasn't in there at all I don't think.

Czech Phrasebook (Lonely Planet Phrasebook)

Bought this book for a Czech boy who can not speak english who attends the school I work at. Find it useful for short phrases but it is ultimately a travel book. Would be fab for anyone travelling to the Czech Republic.
