Product Description

Cymex cream 5gCymex cream is used to treat cold sores or dry cracked or chapped lips. Its triple action relieves and promotes the healing of painful and unsightly cold sores.- Soothes away the tingling burning sensation.- Stops lips from drying and cracking.- Controls infection through anti-bacterial action and promotes faster healing. The cream contains urea cetrimide chlorocresol dimeticone as the basic ingredients. The cream also contains liquid paraffin and cetostearyl alcohol which are moisturising agents that prevent water evaporating from the lips.- Urea is a moisturiser that works by penetrating into the lips where it attracts and retains water. Urea also breaks down keratin in the skin cells helping them to shed which softens and improves the appearance of dry cracked lips. This action also improves the ability of moisturising ingredients to penetrate the lips and rehydrate them.- Dimeticone acts as water repellent to help protect the lips.- Cetrimide and chlorocresol are mild disinfectants that help control infection.

I'm a regular sufferer, tried everything. Along came the tingle right in my left nostril and I didnt manage to catch it with my regular weapon (Zovirax) Which actually is pretty pants. So there it was the rankest most painful scab the size of a 5p piece right under my nose. Great.

I was desperate, so thought I would try somthing different, I slapped this product on friday evening and went to bed thinking the rest of the bank holiday weekend was doomed. when i woke it seemed to have shrunk and I continued to apply a thick layer all saturday. sunday morning.... GONE!! Now this was a bad boy scab, seriously, it would have been around for at least a week. I was able to put concealer over the slightly pink area without it looking like a massive dirty cornflake. Why the hell hadnt I tried this before? Because it was so cheap I thought it would be rubbish.. How wrong I was. I rarely write a review before but let me tell you fellow sufferers, this product rocks.. Im off out!

I used to suffer from really bad cold sores.
Zovirax never did it for me, too drying. Then I switched to Soothelip, very effective not drying but also very expensive and I needed almost 1 tube for a single breakout. It usually happened at night when I couldn't feel the tingling and act quickly. I decided I wanted to prevent cold sore from happening so I started taking lysine supplements and I also bought Cymex based on the good reviews just in case a breakout would happen. Little did I know that I started applying a thin layer of cymex on my lips just before bed and I haven't had a cold sore in almost a year. Sometimes in the morning I feel the cold sore had wanted to come out and its still somehow active within the lips, so I apply a little more cymex throughout the day and it prevents it from coming out.
I still have the same cymex tube I bought the first time for 2 pounds! I hope they won't discontinue this great product.

I suffer from cold sores a couple of times a year but when I get one I know I'm in for a painfull 2 weeks or so. Zovirax is expensive and for me mostly ineffective, it does nothing for the pain at all. I tried cymex today as I thought for the price even if its rubbish I hadn't lost alot. 4 hours after my first application my giant, extreamly sore and still in the puffy weapy growth zone sore has full on hard scab and ive had no discomfort. This is amazing it normally takes me about 5 days to form a scab, especially when I'm still suffering from a nasty cold which I am at the moment.

Its proof that sometimes the chealest product is the best. Im very impressed.

I have a problem with reoccurring cold sore every five-six months. My lips also happen to chip easy and dry up. Unfortunately there was nothing I could ever do about these problems. Cymex is best, if not THE best, product on the market. It's affordable, healing, amazing on the lips, even as a base for lipstick and it lasts a while as you just need to use it sparingly.

I've suffered from cold sore as long as I can remember. Most times I can tell a few days before it comes. Every time I've used Cymex...it has killed off the cold sore. I'm absolutely thrilled with this product!

As I suffer with dry, cracked and bleeding lips in the winter months, I'm always on the lookout for a product that will solve this painful and unsightly problem. Over the years I have spent a fortune on many lip products with limited success. Then one day my lips were so sore and bleeding that I popped into my local chemist and spoke to the pharmacist, he suggested I tried Cymex. Strangely it was a product I hadn't tried, so I decided to give it a go. Amazing within half an hour my lips weren't as raw looking and I could actually smile without fear of the cracks in my lips bursting open.
This product is fantastic and I'm never without a tube, so that anytime I get that feeling my lips are about to dry out I just pop this on my lips and problem solved.

I have tried several cold sore creams and this one is by far the best. Added bonus is that it is so inexpensive compared with many others.

As fairly recent newcomer to the cold sore virus I hadn't tried any remedies before but at the start of another horrid attack on lip and chin I grabbed this and slapped it on the tingling and chapped lip area and it REALLY soothed it and the cold sore didn't really develop on the lip but the rest came out on my chin area. If you just get them on the lip then get this stuff as it really does take that horrible itchy sore feeling away and moisturises the area very well to make you feel much more comfortable. However if you get them on the chin area get to your GP as you probably need tablets to help more severe cases but still this is a good buy as any extra help is welcome when you are under cold sore attack.
