5.0 out of 5 stars The Revolution will be televised 25 Nov 2006
Format:DVD
I have waited so long for this to come out on DVD after seeing it on BBC3. This is one of the funnies and original programs I have ever seen. I can't believe that the BBC stopped it from becoming mainstream.

The Program takes the form of a documentary following the antics of three ill informed revolutionaries (one of whom has special needs), who want to change the world with everything from freeing the fish from an aquarium to "over throwing capitalism and replacing it with something nicer". This is all given an air of credibility in part due to the narration of John Peel and secondly as a result of footage of the trio protesting at Royal Ascot and the G8 summit riots that managed to make the main BBC news.

5.0 out of 5 stars Genius 25 Jun 2006
Format:DVD
How did this not get the credit it deserved I'll never know. Absolute bloody genius comedy writing and superb off the cuff improvisation and downright brazen nuttines that is Cyderdelic, will have you reeling in your chair with laughter! Waited ages for a release of this can't wait to get it! Especially as I haven't seen all the episodes yet!

5.0 out of 5 stars An unknown gem! 24 July 2006
Format:DVD
If it wasn't for a boring long haul flight on Virgin Atlantic, I would have never known about this fantastic comedy.

The program is narrated by the late John Peel, and follows three frankly rubbish Eco-Warriors on a crusade to replace capitalism with something nicer.

The program follows them in their converted Ambulance - the "ambience" as they carry out all manner of antics, such as opening a rubbish Vaggie Burger shop in Exeter or liberating goldfish. Many episodes are set at real events - like playing live at Glastonbury, attending the Berlin Love Parade and carrying out a sit in at Ascot, nearly all with a good dose of squabbling & idiocy thrown in.

The DVD costs under £9, and is worth it for the first two episodes alone! If you like comedies like Spaced, The Office or Peep Show, you'll love it.

And remember - "every twenty seconds, tropical rain forest the size of Canada is chopped down...................................and that's another one gone."
