as far as i understand it, just count the number of ridges, if they are the same, its the same.

Yes, the revel has a sram cassette which uses the same locknut design as shimano.

hi I am not 100 percent sure on your question but as a general rule cassettes produced after 1980s use Hg(hyperglide) removal tool , I think yours is 35mm , you would be better off getting a park tool they are made and described accurately to fit XTR disk brakes
