This is a very good spiral bound book measuring 8" x 6" (just the right size for a handlebar map holder) with 25 routes ranging from an easy eight mile three hour ride with the family to a strenuous eightytwo mile full day out. There is a mix of routes on quiet country lanes and also some off road rides for those of you who like it muddy.

Each route is given a description of the area, the terrain, information on how to get there by car or train and where to park the car, places of interest along the route including a photograph of one of the places, the route description, information on where you can get refreshments and a small map showing the route.

Although there is a lot of information in the book about the route, I would seriously suggest that you take a 1:25000 map of the area and a compass you know how to use.

So far I have done the Skipton & Bolton Abbey circular which was sixteen miles of mainly quiet country lanes and the Grassington & Upper Wharfedale circular which was sixteen miles of mainly off road with hills, both of which I did on sunny days.

An excellent little guide and highly recommended.
