Got this for my husband to use when the weather is too bad for him to go out on his bike. So far he has used it much more often than he would normally use his bike. He is not "in training" as such but likes to keep fit and he finds it perfect for what he requires. It was a wee bit tricky to put together from the instructions but we took the advice of another user and looked online at the instruction video and it made it really easy and it took no time at all to have it up and running. We also took the advice of other users and changed the rear tyre for a smooth road tyre which reduces the amount of noise generated. When he is using it he can listen to the radio quite clearly so the noise is minimal. Think about where you will site it because it does make you sweat rather a lot, so if you don't want to overheat then beside an open window or in a garage would be ideal. All in all I would say if you are thinking about a trainer then you could do a lot worse than buy this one I think the price is really good but if you are into serious training you might want to pay a bit more for one of the more expensive models. For average training my husband finds this one is enough it is well made and it would be difficult to justify paying more, when this one does exactly what he requires.

I bought this as an xmas present for my other half after reading the fab reviews on the internet. I am not an expert in this field but he is over the moon with his trainer. It is very easily put together, the instructions are clear and it is not too bulky. It comes in a smart box, well packaged. Unlike some other reviews i did receive a DVD with my trainer, which gives it that extra little something. To use the trainer you need to change a bolt that goes through the rear wheel of your bike (this is my non technical explanation)and insert the one that comes with the magneto trainer. Would certainly recommend to others.

This is my first cycle trainer so I've nothing to compare it with, but I'm *very* impressed with the build quality. The instruction leaflet is a bit poor, but after a bit of experimenting, it took about ten minutes to put the trainer together and I had a bit left over which puzzled me for a while until I realised my bike didn't have a quick release 'skewer' and therefore didn't need the spare bit! It's easy to use, and you can be pedalling away in seconds, unlike some of the other treadmill type trainers I've seen. Cycleops recommends hard and slick tyres, and it's good advice; my mountain bike is a bit noisy with its chunky tyres.
In summary, I can say I'm very pleased with it, and judging by the solid build quality, I expect to be 'enjoying' for a long time.
