Product Description

Lovely Organic unoaked red that's full of soft, juicy fruits. Moderate alcohol too.

Maceration is closely controlled to ensure the wine is both supple and fruity. Excellent fruit extraction means that this Merlot is full of gently spiced black fruits. Tannins are well rounded, leaving a soft, easy-drinking wine.

Nice surprise this wine, bought six bottles from my local supplier and got stuck in straightaway. Thing I liked about it was that it wasn't too strong: some of the 14-15% make for thick heads next day, but not this one. Although deep red in colour and very fruity to the palate it's reasonable alcohol content make it far nicer to quaff that lots of Rhones even, which are also apt to give you a good bonnet crusher next day as well. Of course, it all boils down to how many pints of the stuff you intend to whack back at a sitting, but I find a pint of this stuff - a bottle - with a meal just right.
Not a bad price either, you can get it for less than £7.00 on the net, for how long it'll remain good one knows not. I have often found with organic wines that the minute you hit on a good one, everyone else does too and that's the end of that. Anyway, I'll be getting another case for the heck of it, remembering it's not a Grand Cru and doesn't attempt to be one. It's a jolly nice wine to lap up, doesn't make the memsahib violent, which is a big deal, and is so much better than the run of the mill Supermarket ink that to my mind anyway, is best used for clearing blocked drains.

I purchased the wine for my brothers Christmas present, it wasn't his usual organic wine but said he loved it. The only problem they left the case of wine on the doorstep when they were away.
