After being given this as a Christmas gift by friends, my two year old son adores it! From a parental perspective, all the pieces are durable, not small enough to choke on, and really great quality. Educationally, they give me the chance to talk about different fruits with my son, and to play matching games with the pieces and with real versions on the fruits. From a two year old's perspective, nothing is funnier than making 'soup' with the fruit and watching Mama 'slurp' it and deem his dish "Delicious!".
It does, however, need input from someone else to make it interesting enough to hold my son's attention for a prolonged period, which is fine for me, but may be time-consuming for those parents who aren't child-centric in their parenting style.
I would definately buy more BIGJIGS products after the success of this one in our home.

This is a very well made, colourful and the children have loved playing with it especially as they can 'cut' up their own fruit. I was just disappointed in the size. The fruit could have done with being a little bigger. I dont remember their being any dimensions on the description, which would have been helpful before purchasing.
