Having read a large quantity of book on Japanese swords, this is probably the best. The photographs are of dazzling quality, showing all the fine detail in the hamon and hada e.g. nie, nioi, sunagashi etc. that far more expensive books fail to show clearly. The clear and concise text by Victor Harris demonstrates his grasp of this vast subject. Great value for money, a must read for the sword enthusiast to drool over. Just wish I'd seen the exhibition.
