After finishing "Cuts", I can now say that I have read everything that he has written - and "Cuts" is up there with the best!
It is a little confusing at first as we are introduced to around half a dozen characters very quickly. However, throughout the book, all of the sub-plots come together for one hell of an ending!
Although we have several main characters, I would say - having finished - that the main two are Janet (our protagonist) and Albert (our antagonist).
Albert Prince has an obsession with cutting people. Especially pretty girls. He loves nothing more than breaking to virtual strangers houses and...well, this is a Laymon novel, so you can guess what happens next...
Because there are so many characters and so many plot twists, it really is impossible to give a synopsis without spoilers, but I would hughly reccommend this book as one of his best and it DEFFINTELY has one of the best endings I have ever read in a Laymon novel...both the final chapters themselves and the "25 years later" epilogue are amazing. I had to get up early for work the next day and still ended up reading untill 3am because I just couldn't put the book down for the last 100 pages or so.
If you have read Laymon before, you know what to expect and you will love this! And if you haven't (why the heck not?!) this is as good a place to start as any.
