I'm keeping this one,
By Kate Hall (Devon, England) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Cute and Easy Crochet (Paperback)
I am terrible for buying crochet books because I'm inspired by their cover or a review and then passing them on because really there was nothing that grabbed me. This book is different. I find the photographs inspirational and the patterns easy to follow. The book is divided into 3 sections. Starting Out, which has all the usual diagrams for complete newbies, and then simple projects all of which I'd happily make. I've already done bunting, a round stripy cushion, a bag using small granny squares and wash cloths. The section section 'Practice makes perfect' has 11 projects, again almost all usable. I've done a scarf, baby slippers & plan on at least 4 more. The final section of 9 projects includes bears, a pretty tea cosy, russian dolls & a gorgeous scarf - my next project. All the recommended yarns are available in the UK. I think all in all Nicki's book does what it says on the cover - 35 adorable, cute & easy projects.

A delight,
By Mrs.Danvers (UK) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Cute and Easy Crochet (Paperback)
This delightful book is full of gorgeously simple and not quite so simple patterns for producing crochet projects to beautify your home, yourself and any children not yet old enough to run screaming from anything handmade. The illustrative photographs are shot in a home of such delicious faded splendour that you may well find yourself being able to justify any battered furniture you may own by simply adding a throw or cushion worked from this book. Highly recommended by Mrs Danvers (who owns much battered furniture).

All round appeal,
This review is from: Cute and Easy Crochet (Paperback)
I bought this book because I want to make and sell small hand made gifts at local bazzars and craft fairs. It does not disappoint and is full of small and larger projects suitable for beginners and those who have crochet experiance. The instructions are easy to follow and the pictures are well photographed. A must for all those crafters out there.
