5.0 out of 5 stars Charming ideas, lots of variety 7 Jun 2014

Once you page through this book, you will start thinking of lots ways to use these clever designs. Even better, it will inspire you to adapt the designs to your own needs. For instance, the watering can could easily become a tea pot.... or a vase full of flowers. And, as a bonus, these little projects are a great way to use up all those odds and ends of yarn that you can't bear to toss. Make personalized headbands, key chains, trim doll sweaters, whatever you like. There is a lot of fun in this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cute Crochet World 24 May 2014
By Naida M. - Published on Amazon.com
Cute Crochet World: A Little Dictionary of Crochet Critters, Folks, Food and More by Suzann Thompson is a fun crochet pattern book that I just dove right into. I was instantly inspired to grab my hook and my yarn and get to crocheting.

This book contains a wide variety of patterns and I think these projects make for nice embellishments, or even as little toys for dollhouses and play kitchens. There's an introduction, stitch instructions, techniques, tips and all the usual good stuff here as well. The designer includes a section with ideas for using the motifs. The patterns are varied and include animals, foods, toys and more. The sections are "Food", "Growing Things", "Seasons", "Toys, Tools, Transportation" and "Home".

I found the patterns are clearly written and easy to follow, the photos are vibrant and the book is nicely presented. I whipped up a few things myself.

I made a few stars, a little cherry blossom tree, which I can see as an embellishment for a square or a blanket and I made a little heart as well.

I recommend Cute Crochet World: A Little Dictionary of Crochet Critters, Folks, Food and More by Suzann Thompson if you are looking to crochet some fun embellishments and little toys. The patterns in this one are fun and creative. I'm very happy to have this pattern book in my collection!

Special thanks to the folks over @ Sterling Publishing/Lark Crafts for my copy of Cute Crochet World: A Little Dictionary of Crochet Critters, Folks, Food and More by Suzann Thompson.
This review is my honest opinion. I did not receive any type of compensation for reading and reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers and designers, such as this one, I am under no obligation to write a positive review.
5.0 out of 5 stars Dictionary of Crochet Critters...etc 8 July 2014

This book was exactly what I was looking for to make little embellishments not only for kids clothes but also for adults. If I use crochet thread they are much smaller and work great for clothing.
5.0 out of 5 stars OMG! So Cute! 23 Jun 2014
By Bijou B - Published on Amazon.com
I bought this as a gift for my sister who is the queen of crochet in our family. I flipped through it before wrapping it up and sending it to her and I fell in love with it. I have always been a knitter with only very basic crochet skills. The patterns in this book are so cute, I have been inspired to learn more about crocheting. I will definitely be purchasing a second copy of this book for myself!
5.0 out of 5 stars Awsome little book 4 Jun 2014
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
This book was given to me a few days ago. The book is not very big in size but packs a big punch. There is a wide variety of things to make where you can embellish anything. An umbrella to a space ship, a bat to mushrooms, you can find almost anything in this little book. Each pattern is filled with detail and color. Most of the patterns are intermediate level crocheting. If you are not at the intermediate level, this is the perfect book to get practice with unfamiliar stitches and small projects. It will inspire you to want to try them all!
