If you want a concise, yet comprehensive reference guide to everything from sofa cushions to sofa drapes and from table cloths to table covers, look no further: Gina Moore's book will show you all you need to know. There are short, but very informative chapters on assessing and measuring your furniture, choosing the right colours and fabrics, etc., as well as nicely illustrated, easy-to-follow instructions for a variety of stitches and seams. The last two thirds of the book are dedicated to individual projects. Here again, everything is illustrated with step-by-step photographs, and all instructions are clearly written und easy to understand, even for sewing novices. Most importantly, though, all projects serve as templates, too, and can effortlessly be adapted to suit personal needs and tastes.
Gina Moore manages to make cushion and cover making look easy and fun, offers a host of ideas to the experienced and the beginner alike, and supplies the reader with enough inspiration to turn it into a fully-fledged hobby (if it isn't already.)

the book has all the detailed information i want, and i was very pleased with the instructions on zips. however you do have to switch back and forth for various information.
