Curvey Lovebox, called "a chemical fueled trip through the wrong side of town" is a novel that crowds us out of our own space with the relentless detail and language of London's underground club scene. Barlay deftly tips us off center into the world of the novel through his incredible rendering of the vernacular, the artistry of human speech. We are plunged into this world with such startling precision and wit, that from the first paragraph it is clear we can trust the driver, settle back for the ride. That the word vernacular comes from VERNA, meaning, slave born in the masters house, gives us some clues as to the territory form which this rich, complex and artful dialect comes. Nick barlay has done us all a service through his rendering of the underside or the otherside of the masters house. Read this book.
