Does one need four fully-grown foxgloves for decorating a dinner table for six guests? Or is it six foxgloves to kill four fully-grown guests?
Sophronia's first year at school has certainly been rousing. First, her finishing school is training her to be a spy (won't Mumsy be surprised!). Secondly, she gets mixed up in an intrigue over a stolen device and has a cheese pie thrown at her. Now, as Sophronia steals around the dirigible school, eavesdropping on the teachers' quarters and making clandestine climbs to the ship's boiler room, she learns that there may be more to a school trip to London than at first appears...
Sophronia must rely on her training to uncover who is behind a dangerous plot and what role Mademoiselle Geraldine's plays in the affair. If only that weren't as challenging as surviving the London season with a full dance card!
Brilliant author. Have read many of her books. Book arrived as expected. Very satisfied with seller.Published 6 months ago by oldmin
Don't get me wrong its a fun read on a rainy day or the beach but taxing it is not. Neither the characters nor the plot require much concentration from the reader. Read morePublished 7 months ago by Sisalka
I do enjoy Gail Carrigers books, hopefully many more to come in this little universe! The books are not too long & make for easy readingPublished 10 months ago by Angie2007
This book is a credit to Ms. Corriger and will remain a favourite of mine. It followed the first book seamlessly an has left me hanging nicely for the third.
Great plot, great world and an interestingly developing story arc.
I'm really enjoying this author's work. Read more
