At a running time of about 2hrs and 9 mins, with full-length performance clips interspersed with brief interviews, this superb DVD runs through all the major hits and backstory of the Impressions, before taking full-flight with Curtis' excellent solo material. What really comes across is Curtis' passion for social commentary and unnerving willingness to tackle some dark and challenging subject matter. Yet with a disposition and voice so sweet, the contrast between some of the lyrics and the way Curtis delivered it was incredibly effective. The majority of the material here is from '72 and '73, so his Superfly period is well covered with some excellent live performances. The band at the time were really, really good and I particularly enjoyed watching the bass player and percussionist doing their thing! Great bonus footage too! Well worth buying if you are a fan of Curtis.
