I was looking for a handwriting practice book, for my son who is dyslexic & coming up thirteen. He knows how to join up his writing, but not always in the right way to make it legible. So I got this because you can do as much or as little as you like & it's not a beginner book.
You can photocopy the pages too & practice them as many time as you like.
There's 40 American quotes from famous Presidents etc & although the subject is a little dry, the actual cursive practice sheets are very good.
The only valid negative I can come up with is you need to point out a couple of American spellings before hand & make sure to replace it with our English spelling. e.g Color - Colour..On the whole an ideal handwriting practice tool....

I bought this to use with my son, who struggles with fine motor movement and, consequently, handwriting. Finding resources to help him practice, has been hard. This is one of the few products which has a more "grown up" feel to it, and therefore not off putting to a teenager.
The down side is that the handwriting is cursive, and not based on the Nelson system used in the UK. However, he seems to be able to accept that one or two letters are different, and he can ignore that. He has been quite impressed with some of the quotes, and that has also led to some great conversations.

Great Handwriting Practice, Inspiring Quotes

This is a nice book for practicing handwriting. It does not teach the formation of individual letters, so it's not really for children just beginning to learn cursive. I am using it as practice for my daughter who is homeschooled. The quotes are nice and usually begin a good quick conversation about what they mean. The pages have separate sections on the top and bottom. The top shows the quote and gives a place to trace and practice a few of the words in the quote. The bottom gives blank lines to write the quote. Overall, a nice practice book.

I think this will really help me brush up on my cursive. I am am adult and don't find it condescending or boring. I'd definitely use this if I were homeschooling and will probably get an additional copy to use in my public school classroom.
