Book Description

For centuries the gods have waited—for the betrayal that will release them, for the traitors who will defend them, for the warrior who will challenge them. Now at long last the gate between the human and spirit worlds is open, and with it, an army of vengeful demons poised to swarm the earth. Only the Curse Keepers, Ellie Lancaster and Collin Dailey, can stop it…if they can break free from a tangled web of treachery, jealousy, and lies.

Torn between two men—her heart belongs to David, yet her soul is bound to Collin’s—Ellie no longer knows who she can trust. Demons slipping through the gate are leaving a trail of bodies in their wake, each death a chilling reminder of the power of the ancient spirits to bring humanity to its knees. Faced with an unimaginable future, Ellie realizes the time has come to turn her back on prophecy and choose her own destiny—even if it means defying the gods themselves.

In the thrilling conclusion to the Curse Keepers trilogy, humanity faces its final battle for survival!

5.0 out of 5 stars Breeding Not Allowed 1 Oct. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
This series must be read in order. The first book is The Curse Keepers (Curse Keepers Series Book 1). The second book is The Curse Breakers (Curse Keepers Series Book 2). This is the third book.

Ellie is at a loss. She loves David but her soul is bound to Collin's. She has no idea who to trust. Claire is distancing herself from her ever since she came back from being on her honeymoon. Myra has been doing the same ever since she took her new job. She still trusts Claire and her husband but maybe Myra doesn't love her anymore? The Gods definitely can't be trusted and neither can Collin as he is always hiding something. How is she supposed to save the whole of Creation if she has no one to back her up? David is there and he is an invaluable asset but he is only human with no powers to protect himself. Above all else she must protect the people she loves as she does not think she can bear another loss without breaking completely! How will she keep everyone safe? Is there another way other than choosing one of the Gods? Is she destined to be a broodmare to monstrous offspring? Is she salvation or the apocalypse?

David loves and trusts Ellie. She is his soul mate. Too bad he isn't hers! He HATES Collins and distrusts him with every fiber of his being. His only goal right now is to help Ellie find a way she can fight on her own WITHOUT Collins. He understands that they are more powerful together he just wants Ellie to not be hurt anymore. Sure he hides it well but he is jealous of the bond Ellie and Collin share and wishes Collin were gone for good.

5.0 out of 5 stars a new team united forever more? 30 Sept. 2014
By Emma F
Format:Kindle Edition
I originally thought this was a trilogy series so was very happy to find out this is not the last one! I was given a copy to read in exchange for a honest review and hear it goes. ..... Arrgghhh I love it, and still secretly and madly in love with Collin f***king Dailly. I love how this story has progressed Ellie, Collin and David into maturing their relationship with each other and building strength as a team and realising the positives for doing that. Also kicking the gods butts and thrashing the supernatural. (also secretly glad their wasn't much of the complicated names of things too in this book) the curse defiers team is also finding out who to trust the hard way and just how much of their lives have orchestrated since the beginning of time. scary thoughts!! Bring on book 4 I can't wait....

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as strong as the first two in the series 9 Nov. 2014
By Anne TOP 500 REVIEWER VINE VOICE
Format:Kindle Edition
We have reached the third book of this series and I firmly recommend that if you have not done so already that you read the first two before tackling this one. The author does try and recap a bit during the story but I don’t think that there is enough here for someone who comes new to the series to be able to grasp everything that has gone on – in fact as it is some time since I have read the first two books in the series I had lost track of some of the minor details myself although I was easily able to pick them up with the reminders that the author has included in the text.

Ellie continues to be the curse keeper whose job, together with that of Collin, is to keep the world safe from the gods and Demons who would seek to destroy it. Unfortunately Collin has been persuaded to open the gate which has previously kept evil from the world and now the Demons and the gods are haunting Ellie as well as creating destruction around her. Ellie and Collin still have a very difficult relationship with Ellie now firmly attached to David who is helping her to research what is going on and what she can do next.

I have to confess that I am now becoming quite weary of this series. I have tried to work out exactly why and think that it is because it doesn’t seem to be moving forward in any real way. The situation at the end of this book is not significantly different from the situation at the beginning although there have been lots of events and Ellie has discovered some new things about the gods. That brings me to the second of my issues with the book which is the overload of information about different mythologies which is thrown at the reader. Ellie actually doesn’t know anything about what is happening and she’s completely dependent on other people to research things for her.

5.0 out of 5 stars great finish 3 Oct. 2014

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews
Well, this is one of those YA trilogies that’s suited to adults too – well written, and with an exiting plot. I really enjoyed books one and two and now its the conclusion – or is it? The way it ends it’s the finish – for now...but its left open for more, and I’m pleased about that as I think there’s life yet left in the story.
I like David, he’s a great character but somehow he seems so ...good...whereas Collin, he’s the bad boy, the one who we all want to reform and come good. So I’d love to read more of them and Ellie of course. She’s grown so much in the short time the books cover – I guess fighting Demons and Ancient Gods will do that to a girl! Its an action packed instalment, where some of the threads introduced earlier and left open have reached the point where they close sections in the story. I love to re read books such as this just to see on second reading how I missed some of the clues. Once again Ellie is left wondering if she can trust Collin – he seems sincere but then he seemed like that before, and what happened then. She meets some new characters, finds out more information about the curse and how to deal with it but of course where did the info come from and can she trust it to be true? Once again she’s placed in life-threatening danger. The deaths are stacking up, and she’s distraught that she can’t protect her friends and family. She needs to make a decision on what to do sooner rather than later, and then – a new group appear who force her hand.
Its a fantastic finish and I love the way its a completion for now and not a total ending, so we could get more from the group in future books.
