Product Description

Curse, directed by Esan Sivalingam, tells the chilling tale of a military squad sent to an island to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a group of soldiers.

Accidentally disturbing a burial site, they unleash a supernatural curse and start to experience an evil presence. The island offers little refuge as they fight for survival and discover the truth behind the disappearance.

This film is surprisingly very good. I dont normally write reviews on films as there tend to be so many out there but I loved this one so much I had to say how good this film is. Really well worth watching so much so I have seen this twice. Without giving anything away the horror scenes are amazing. My girl has never clutched me so tightly since our first date many years ago. Final verdict get it you wont regret it.

I got the chance to see this film in my native country - Singapore. It was based on an urban legend that every reservist knows about - The Charlie Company and the 3rd door bunk!! Google it, if you don't know!
The sense of pacing, shock tactics and non-linear story-telling worked well under the direction of Esan Sivalingam. His debut was City Sharks, an excellent comedy that has yet to have a DVD release.
I have actually been to the location where the film was shot and believe me - it's not as scary as it is portrayed on film!

Saw this film in Singapore. It's not been released in SG so I was surprised to see it on sale here. Overall, a good film with some scary moments. I kinda thought it was like Evil Dead, Usual Suspects and Rashomon put together.
