We bought a copy of Curries and Spicy Dishes by Kris Dhillon, for our student son, to encourage him to cook wth his slow cooker. His verdict for the Pakistani beef,"The meat was meltingly tender spicy, but not too hot" We`ve cooked the Vietnamese beef and the Thai seafood curry, easily obtainable ingredients, simple to prepare. Each meal was delicious. We recommend this book for every cook to be!

bought this book because I already have the curry secret book that I was already using and quite pleased with results from that book. I have tried some recipes from this book and I can honestly say that I am more impressed with the results I have achieved. some of the guides you might have to adjust i.e. water content because of water already in meat that is chicken but other than that results are excellent as good as in a curry shop look forward to when I use my slow cooker for curries slow cooking curries seems to work well with curries really tasty best recipes seem to be the ones with more spices in ingredients list or maybe that I like spicy curries would recommend this book to other people you may have to a little bit of preparation but results are worth it doesn't take that long any way especially when you have done it a couple of times and I am a man that does not do a lot of cooking and very much a novice so if I can do it any body can yum yum lol good luck enjoy lovely curries at a fraction of the cost

Slowly working my way through the recipes in this book. All the currys I've cooked so far have been very good. I note one reviewer says the curries are a bit bland - this might be true but that can be remedied by adding more chilli. I also own the curry secret by the same author and in my opinion, the curries from 'curries and spicy dishes for your slow cooker' are far easier and more straightforward but you end up with a similar great tasting result in the end. I find you need to use less liquid than the book stipulates, but otherwise this is a great book for slow cooker recipes - by far the best slow cooker recipe book i've come across.
