Core reading on my MA course, it covers everything you need to know and should be on every ELT manager's/director's shelf.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very comprehensive and handy to use! 3 April 2009
By Honglian Qiang - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
I think the book provides a systematic and practical guidance for language teachers, administrators as well as curriculum developers. It is very informative based on solid research, but at the same time provides useful tools like guidelines and checklists on various issues in the field of language teaching. I especially like the section on " Providing for Effective teaching" . I also enjoy the textbook " New Interchange" by the same author.

This is one of my required textbook. I used this for curriculum development class. It is kind of useful, but sometimes I feel a little confused about the origination of content in the book. It seems not logical to me.
