I read this book when I was young and I read it occasionally when I'm feeling blue. If you don't know Curious George, he's a monkey who is always wondering about things. He gets into little messes here and there, but it always turns out okay. Sounds simple? It is, but it's a lovely book that you can laugh at and remember how interesting the simple things in life are.

My 3 year old son was sent this book as a Christmas present and six weeks later we are still reading it every night before bed time. Admittedly, I sometimes wish he would choose a shorter story for bed time, but he just loves it. My 18 month old daughter also chooses it every night, and loves pointing at Curious George every time he appears on the page. George is so funny, the story line so interesting, you never know what is going to happen next. And the drawings are fantastic. I never knew a monkey could have so many facial expressions! We would not be without George.

It's a classic. I read the individual stories as a child and they are still wonderful. Be warned, however, children will want to read it over and over, but since the book is very heavy, the binding will split fairly quickly.

Lovely pictures which make me feel like I'm inside the book.
Nobody gets into big trouble and there's no dying or nasty things. This is a big, friendly and safe book and I read it when I don't feel happy. Read more
