5.0 out of 5 stars Curious Crafts of Old England 12 April 2011
The content of this excellent production has already been detailed by D.Digital in his 4 star review. The work of the Rixons, a husband and wife team, never fails to delight my wife and myself for Debra's pleasant commentaries/informative interviews and the excellent camera work by David.
Having purchased the entire 'Footloose' series by the Rixons we have enjoyed watching their travels, with a feeling of often actually being with them, as they took us all over Europe in their different programs, often accompanied by the music of the talented Barnaby Smith.
We were not disappointed with this rather different subject area. It follows the lives of three craftsmen who give practical demonstrations of their skills. We see the Smith at work, the Potter, and the Woodcarver. We gain an interesting insight into their craft and their lifestyle as each demonstrates the creation of a wonderful piece of work. Don't miss it! - Mike Hardy.
