Product Description

Director Reb Braddock expanded his 1991 short into this dark comedy - his original short inspired a section of the storyline in Quentin Tarantino's cult film 'Pulp Fiction' and Tarantino helped produce this feature and even appears in a cameo role. Gabriela (Angela Jones) is obsessed with murder, and has been for as long as she can remember. In order to become closer to the subject of her dark hobby, she joins a firm specialising in the professional cleaning up of crime scenes in Miami, and begins fantasising about the 'Blue Blood' serial killer who is stalking the town. Gabriela's fantasy becomes reality when she has a face to face encounter with the killer, but she is forced to ask herself whether she is literally dying to meet him.

3.0 out of 5 stars Curdled 26 Oct 2010
Curdled is the story of Gabriella (A unique Angela Jones), a Columbian immigrant living in Miami who has long harbored an obsession with violent crimes. She sees a TV ad for a crime scene cleaning service and immediately pursues it and lands the gig. Meanwhile, a serial killer 'The Blue Blood Killer'(William Baldwin) is working Miami's rich women. An odd love/hate story ensues as Gabriella finds herself cleaning The Blue Blood Killer's crime scenes and becoming more intrigued by his acts.

I'm a huge Tarantino fan, so I got this and 'Four Rooms' as completest pieces to my collection of his films. Curdled is a film that can't be pinned down to any genre, it's really driven by the character of Gabriella, and we see the film through her eyes throughout the picture. It's more black than comedy, and the comedic parts are more quirky. Curdled is the kind of film that would've made a good short story, actually, it was a short film before Tarantino decided to produce and then distribute a feature version. It's worth watching if nothing else for Angela Jones performance, the way the premise is delicately handled and the great last act.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very, very black 29 Nov 2000
Format:VHS Tape
This film is excellent, It's about the the most "Black" comedy I've ever seen and, as a friend said, allmost plays like a stage production especially at the end. The Tarantino connection is that before he was famous he met the director Reb Braddock at a festival were braddock had a short film about a woman who cleaned up after murders and is obsessed with death, and Tarantino later on used the same principal with the "Mr Wolfe" story in pulp fiction, and also in the cab with bruce willis scene. So as a return favour to braddock he decided to produce this feature length story from the original idea of braddock's. However the Tarantino link doesn't end with that. He also directed the Miami DOA piece in the film which tells the story in documentary form of the two brothers in From dusk till dawn presented by the same presenter as in FDTD aswell. The lead actress Anjela Jones is superb as the murder obsessed cleaner as is all the acting, and if you like black comedies you will love this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tarantino does it again 8 Mar 2005
A wonderful movie in Tarantino's typical style.
The actors are great, the storyline very original.
Lots of blood here again, just like in Kill Bill and again a crazy story of love and obsession.
View it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great soundtrack, strange film.... 30 Nov 2010
I really bought this because I'd heard the soundtrack - not the best reason to buy a film! Very strange and rather weak storyline - managed to get to the end but certainly wouldn't watch it again - will listen to the soundtrack again though!
