What if Cupid fell out of love with love?

Cupid is exhausted. Modern day matchmaking is tough – people are busy, their hearts are harder to hit and he’s had enough of wall-to-wall romance. And St Valentine has noticed…

Annelise is a Lost Cause. She runs a dating agency but her heart is colder than a penguin’s feet. She thinks love is about compatibility and has no time for passion.

Can Cupid prove to St Valentine that he hasn’t lost his touch by melting Annelise’s heart? Or is it curtains for Cupid?

The #1 Amazon bestselling romantic comedy novella - 23,000 words long. If you like Sophie Kinsella, you'll love Cupidity.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow 30 May 2013
From the moment I read the blurb for Cupidity I was excited to read this novella, after all the idea of Cupid falling out of love, would explain a lot (yes I know it's fiction, but if my aunt asks you why I'm still single please play along)

Cupidity was everything the blurb promised and more.

Cupid is an instantly likeable character, who has become a bit disheartened with humanity, after couples meeting through Internet dating sites and speed dating, the romance has been taken from his job.
With St Valentine sensing that his employee is on a downward spiral he sends him to earth to work on a Lost Cause, but is Annelise at the top of the Lost Cause pile and has she hardened her heart forever?

I loved this story it was funny and romantic, with a wonderful ending that had me grinning from ear to ear.

I could see the story playing out in my head, it would make a great film and I do have to confess the description of Cupid had me thinking of a younger Justin Timberlake when he had those tight curls.

I am excited to see what Holly Hepburn has for us next, will it be another novella in the form of another St Valentines employee or will we be lucky enough to get a novel that's just as funny and gripping.

An author to watch, Holly Hepburn!

5.0 out of 5 stars Short and sweet 8 May 2013

The great thing about Kindles is they've opened up the market to short fiction. This book is 1/4 the length of most novels which makes it perfect to read in one sitting. In my case I read it on a long train journey.

It's beautifully written, amusing, light and entertaining. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would certainly buy more such books from this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great way to spend an afternoon 20 May 2013

Having never really read a short story before I had no idea what to expect ! I loved it such a cute story that made me laugh. I came away with a big smile on my face and hope in my heart. Great concept and I for one want to believe it is true, but then I am an incurable romantic!

5.0 out of 5 stars Delightfully different! 19 May 2013

Review: someone has to make this cute novella into a film! I thought it was such a fun concept, Cupid coming down to earth and people being jaded with love, just the kind of thing that needs to be written about in 2013! For a novella, a lot of action takes place and yet this author has cleverly not written it over a long time period. Cupid knows that he had 5 days to make Annelise learn to love again, and 5 days seems to be the perfect amount of time for this story to cover.

I thought the character of Annelise was very well developed and very realistic, considering both how short this story was and also, the fact that the other characters in the novella were St Valentine, Cupid and another winged assistant. I thought the feelings she had were very realistic too and I found her easy to identify with, even in such a short space of time!

There were moments where I laughed and there were also aww moments. I don't want to give too much away in this mini reviews, but I thought the whole story was really well written. This is definitely something that should be enjoyed with a nice glass of wine of an evening or a cup of tea on a Sunday morning, as I enjoyed it. I found it to be a refreshing love story, full of action and containing a very real message for today's modern society!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and romantic 15 May 2013

Cupidity is a fab, fun, romantic, quick read and I really enjoyed Holly Hepburn's writing.

Holly has created a very likeable male lead and I found I had a lot of sympathy for him - who hasn't had days when they've had enough of their job?! In his earthly form Cupid turns out to be not only gorgeous but charming and funny and I couldn't wait to find out how he'd do on his mission.

Cupid's mission is to put himself back on track by finding love for Annelise Hart, who despite running a dating agency has sworn off love after being badly hurt by a past relationship. Annelise is on the `lost causes' list and it took a little while for me to warm to her as she's a bit of an ice maiden at first but I liked her shrewdness and as the story progressed I enjoyed the way her character developed.

Cupid's deadline is Midsummer's Day giving him just seven days to sort Annelise's love life out. Will he do it? Can he right the wrongs of Annelise's past? I'm not going to tell you (!) but it's well worth the pennies this ebook costs to read the story for yourself and find out!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet and quirky novella 6 Oct 2013

Well worth a read if you like a little twist of fantasy with your romance. I could figure out the ending, but as in so many romances, the whole point is the journey towards the end and how it will resolve itself. Never sure why people say 'predictable' as if it is a bad thing when so many love stories are constructed that way. This kept me turning the pages and it wasn't long and drawn out. The perfect length in fact. Really enjoyed it. Sweet and original.

This is funny and light hearted and possibly the author could have done more with the topic, but it's an easy read.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't bother
The plot was predictable, the characters woefully underdeveloped, the dialogue lacklustre: all in all ok to pass the time but not something I'd recommend to friends. Sorry.

You can see what's going to happen almost immediately but nevertheless it avoids being too cheesy. Nice to see even cupid can get jaded with love.
