I saw this on Amazon & had to have it. Its just arrived today & the photos & instructions are great but its an american book & all the different ingredients needed are american. I don't think I would even begin to try and work out UK substitutes as it would just make the whole process far too complicated which is such a shame

It's just a book with some cakes in it. I know that covers every cake book, but in this case it's even truer - there's some good photography but you'd be better off with an alternative such as Hello, Cupcake!: Irresistibly Playful Creations Anyone Can Make which is much more inspirational.

I love this book. The ideas are original and just need a little 'tweaking' for the British components. I also have "Hello, Cupcake!", which I think I prefer, and both books are worth buying even if you just look at the pictures. Service from Amazon was excellent as usual.
