About the Author
Elinor Klivans is a notable cookbook author and food writer who has published articles for Bon Appetit, Fine Cooking, Cooking Pleasures, and the Washington Post, among others. A former pastry chef, she is a member of the International Association of Culinary Professionals and lives in Camden, Maine.

My boyfriend got me this as a gift and I really love it.
The box packaging is nicely designed and nicely laid out, the book goes into detail about measurements, certain ingredients that are used for types of baking and such( which is good as american baking is done in cups and stuff).
It also gives you a re-useable piping bag with i think 5 different nozzles and different types of frosting recipes.
The recipes in the book look awesome and are different in their own ways and you also get images of each cupcake which is helpful.
The different size cupcake cases you get are so cute as well.
I love love love it. I would recommend to anyone who loves baking :)

I am struggling to understand the measurements in the recipes. For example, butter is listed in the recipe as 1/2 cup or 1 stick. In the conversion pages at the back of the booklet 1/2 a cup can be converted to 120 millilitres (no mention of sticks)so how do you measure butter in millilitres? I have always used weighing scales so can use grams or ounces. If the recipe was only in measured in cups then I could work out proprtions, but the same recipe also measures cream cheese in ounces. I can use the bookelt for ideas but not for a detailed recipe

The recipes in the book are very good, easy to follow and produce real tasty buns.
However the cases are very thin - they tear easily when you're trying to eat a cupcake, and they also seem to loose their color during baking.
Overall though a great introduction to fancier cup cakes, and the presentation of the package makes it a great gift.

Cupcake kit
The kit contains some useful items. The recipes turn out well. The cup cake cases were not as brightly coloured as I expected. Packaged well and arrived quickly for Christmas.

Good value product
Good value item - useful recipe book together with tools needed including icing bag. Recipies are American based however and need adapting for best results

Great product!
Beautiful colours. Colours stayed better when using the usual 4,4,4 & 2 recipe rather than the recipe given in the book. Great little box of lovliness!
