a good history of an important town,
By Mr. Ian A. Macfarlane "almac1975" (Fife, Scotland) - See all my reviews (TOP 50 REVIEWER) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Cupar: A History (Hardcover)
The attractive Fife town of Cupar, one time county town, has deserved a good comprehensive history for many years now. This book goes some way towards filling the bill. The author makes no claim that it covers all that can be covered, but she writes interestingly and tells a good story, when that possibility arises. The book is very handsome and very well illustrated, a good professional publication, and it is not overpriced. There is still space for more complete coverage of some periods in Cupar's history, but considering how little was available before this book came out, it can be enthusiastically welcomed.
