An amazing piece of low-budget, but high-value movies. A funny and moving story about how football as a worldwide phenomenon makes the whole mankind react the same way regardless of cultural, religious or ethnic background, or geographical location. In our recent money-oriented sports world the movie emphasizes that the entertaining power of football can bring the world together. It gives an interesting picture of a Tibetan monastery, showing that the fun-loving attitude is an over-the-boundaries feature of the human mind.

What a great film! 7 Jun 2001
By A Customer
Format:VHS Tape
One of the best films I've seen in years - combining the qualities a film should have. Really entertaining with some profound meaning and insights. A simple story-line, but open to the viewer's interpretation. Characters who are easy to identify with - whilst being open-ended and subtle. Best of all, perhaps, a portrayal of a community which has difficulties, imperperfections and stresses, but combines this with a transcendant and rare insight into how life should be lived.

Universal football 6 Sep 2003
Format:VHS Tape
It's World Cup Final Year and in a remote himalayan buddhist monastery, the boy monks are football crazy. How can they watch The Cup Final!??? A tale of cultures colliding and adapting rather than fighting. Gentle and funny, but thought provoking too.
