Ignore what Mr Churlish says about another book in this series! Any book that gets a competent but reluctant reader (age 7) to sit immediately down and devour it in one sitting - and then reread it the next day comes highly recommended! The pages are a good balance of pics and text - including some more challenging pages with more text. It's actually really hard these days to find books about football for this age range. My son does not like all your fantasy stuff - so this was a lucky find!
