Great for A level sociology generally, and the new topic 'culture and identity' in particular. Lots of up to date and student friendly examples: eg. punk rock, George Michael, McDonaldisation, and postmodernist debates.

This is a good read for anyone looking for a starter to what are culture and identity, as well as how they are related to each-other. It reads well and is easy to follow. Plus, being small it doesn't feel daunting. I would not suggest it to non-beginners however. Anyone who already has a grasp of the subject would likely need something more.
