The holistic approach of the book looks at the preservation of health and the prevention of disease, with explanations of the various disease states, their diagnosis and treatment. Graeme has been a practising medical herbalist for over 20 years, including two years working for the NHS. He is currently the Course Leader on the Herbal Medicine degree at the University of Central Lancashire and is an external clinical examiner for other herbal training programmes in the UK. I like this book because it gives a history of Nicolas Culpeper and his influences in holistic medicine. I would recommend it to those who are seeking holistic knowledge.

A fascinating book! The author describes in today's language Culpeper's basic practice of medicine. It brings forth our rich medical tradition and explains how everything in nature is interconnected. "as above, so below!"
