Rubbish Rubbish Rubbish.. If you like your garlic slightly flattened this is for you but if you want a nice paste look else where. As the product is plastic you cannot put force enough to squash your garlic and the metal spoon only allows you to scoop your garlic patty onto your chopping board to cut up again with a knife!

The removable crushing spoon attracted me to this when I bought it in a local retailer. I felt that the spoon would be an easy way to get the last of the garlic out of the press.

This turned out to be the product's downfall - the spoon (which is where the garlic is pressed through) flexes in use, resulting in a squashed clove inside the press and very little crushed garlic (another reviewer experienced the same). I will be returning this to the retailer.

It does not press the garlic at all - just squashes it a bit - and the handles feel like they will break sooner rather than later. I have given up on this one - just bash and chop with a big knife - it's more satisfying!
