I've had several waffle makers in the past, so I knew what to expect, but this model is just super - it indicates when it's ready to cook & when the waffle is at your preferred degree of brownness, so no over-crisp offerings & no need to discard the first one of each batch, either! It is easier to clean than other machines I've used. The huge size means that you can cater for 4 people at once - previous machines have meant that the sorry person cooking the waffles has to be on permanent duty. The recipe provided makes delicious, non-greasy, deep, fluffy waffles - truly, just like you'd get in a restaurant. I would thoroughly recommend this machine.

I decided to buy my first waffle maker and looked at the reviews from Amazon customers to gauge my decision on which make to purchase. I was so impressed by the reviews on the Cuisinart Professional Waffle Iron that I bought this one. I have found it does exactly what reviewers claimed and makes 'scrummy' waffles. I brush a light coat of sunflower oil around the inside of the iron prior to heating up and once cooked (there is an audible warning) and the lid is lifted, the waffles are then easily removed. I have also found setting the control knob to two and a half to be adequate for nice lightly browned waffles. I'm so impressed with mine I've just purchased another, as a gift for a daughter!!! Highly recommend this product to anyone considering buying a superb waffle maker.

Very easy to use and clean. Surprisingly light weight for its size and it's great to be able to make 4 waffles at once as I tend to batch bake and freeze them. Have used the basic recipe in the book but prefer one I've used with my previous machine where the eggs are separated and whites whipped up as these seem to hold together better ("Waffles and Pancakes" by Kate Habershon - Quick Vanilla Waffle recipe).
