Our Kitchenware Team see hundreds of products before selecting, and it takes a lot to impress them, so when we saw how excited Philippa, our Buyer was, we knew she'd found a real gem...

The impressive new Soup Maker from Cuisinart literally makes your soup from start to finish in around 30 minutes; all you have to worry about is chopping the veg and chucking it in! Cutting out the middle 'pan', it gets really hot so you can soften your onions and brown your veg nicely before you pour the stock in. Then, it'll bubble away gently as it cooks, and all that's left to do is flick a switch to blend to your desired consistency. With no pan to wash up, and no transferring to a blender, it's a real timesaver for anyone who makes soup often.

22 x 15 x 47cm H. (8¾" x 6" x 18½")

A really good soupmaker. Solidly made with simple controls, this is a quality product. The hot plate in the bottom of the jug allows for initial saute of onions and other ingredients. Add the stock and set the heat setting and timer. Go relax until it's done. Capacity is enough for four good sized portions.

Great , just love it. Whatever you do don't put the oil in then the onions & cook on high mix the onions & oil together & cook on medium using the stir button.

Get cook books, use what you've got in your fridge put ingredients together that you would't normally, just experiment, have fun. I love butternut squash & orange something I wouldn't have put together before.

It's super easy to clean rinse it all out, wipe it over put some clean water back in with a drop of washing up liquid, I tend to heat it up again for a min or two ten put it on high speed blend. rinse out again put fresh water in high speed blend tip out, all clean ready to go again. I have been known to make two or three different types of soup one after the other for my families constant soup orders, but I don't mind even more varieties to try.

I recently purchased, a Cuisinart Soup maker, and I love it. I make soup frequently now, not occasionally, as before.
However, there is nothing in the instructions to say if the whole Jug, including the black base unit (which is attached)can be immersed into water.
There is nothing in the instructions about this, so I am cleaning the jug without immersion, and I keep on cutting my fingers on the blades. (because it is awkward to handle, half in and half out of the bowl).

If anyone knows I would love to hear.

This piece of equipment does what it says and it is possible to produce lovely creamy soups in half an hour easily with no other utensils to wash as everything can be placed directly into the soup maker.
I have had the soup maker for a week now and have made several different soups from sweetcorn, brocholli and stilton and tomatoe soup and they have all been delicious. As the ingredients are all fresh the taste can not be compared to tinned soups.
If you are a soup fan I would recommend this appliance.
