I thought this was a great kettle until I found black floaters in my tea and took a good look inside it. A patch of enamel has lifted from the base and a sizeable rusty patch has developed. I got this kettle instead of an electric multi-temp kettle because electric kettles are so unreliable and short-lived. Unfortunately this has turned out to be just as bad.
It has had very light use only on an induction hob, at medium heat, as Cuisinart advise. Cuisinart say it is suitable for induction, but I wonder if it really is.
Amazon's splendid customer services are replacing it so I shall find out. I hope it will turn out that my first one was just poorly enamelled. Glad I got it from Amazon!
