As a mini food processor, I am very impressed with this product. It is slightly expensive considering you can get a full blown food processor for a similar price, but I think you get what you pay for. It looks and feels very high quality with its die cast metal body, certainly not cheap and plastic, and the blade is very sharp. I have a small kitchen and it has proved perfect for making curry pastes, spice mixes, bread crumbs, pesto, and a whole host of different sauces. I've even used it to make soup, although this required blending in two batches as the capacity is only 900ml, but that's hardly a hassle.

This product has two buttons - "chop" and "grind". My girlfriend wanted something that did both & asked me to buy it for her.
She reports that the 'chop' facility is fine, but the grinding is poor. I should say she doesn't grind coffee beans so maybe that would be OK, but definitely for spices it doesn't work very well.
This is disappointing for such a large and expensive machine.

Quality Chopper 14 Nov 2011
By Tweak
This is my third mini processor I have purchased in the last 2 years and it is by far the best. I use one daily for chopping up cooked rice, pulses and veg for my parrot, as well as knocking up mayonnaise, pesto and curry pastes etc occasionally for myself. Previous mini processors(Magimix and Kenwood) have not lasted - usually the bowl or lid breaks around the tab area. The plastic of the Cuisinart bowl and lid is of higher quality than other brands and after owning this for over two months it still looks as good as new. The blade is RAZOR sharp beware - this is not like normal processors, but it makes for a quality chopper. I have learnt this the hard way, and now handle the blade with the caution it deserves - it does have a handle, so use it. All dishwasher proof.

I really cannot fault this machine, it chops veg, grinds nuts and makes decent mayo (there is a pouring hole in the lid), I suppose it would be nice if these small processors could grate or slice, but overall I can't complain. It is a bit more pricey, but you are getting value for money. I have also noticed they use this chopper on 'Saturday Kitchen'.
