I didn't find this book helpful. Few photos and limited info. May be a nice read if you just want to learn about cuff links. Not useful as a reference.

do not bother buying, 6 Feb 2009

After reading the only review i did buy this book. Only because it was a few dollars. An interesting very short read. A few interesting pictures. Better to search the net for free. The history is not tied to the pictures. For example Winston Churchill is shown in a speech with his hand raised. A comment is made about his cufflinks but the author did not give a close up or any description.
No prices are given in the book.
Again the pictures are of, i assume, the private collection and no tie of the pictures to the history. Save your few dollars for a cheap pair of Baer and Wilde (B&W) snap links.
One way to get an inexpensive collection is to buy singles of snap links for $1 to $4. B&W require the same brand as the post is a bit longer than with Krementz or other brands. Then mix and match with the tops the same. Almost all cufflinks are very inexpensive. The variety is unlimited. Yes i am always hoping to find the $300 set for a few dollars.
Cufflinks are an interesting way to collect. I only collect things i can use. Cufflinks, tie bars and singles of dinner plates for dining variety. I buy nothing for display. Hopefully not becoming a LOL with a housefull of junk.
If you wish to wear cufflinks in casual wear, buy shirts with two cuff buttons which use one at a time for width adjustment. Polo makes these. A seamstress will remove the outside button and make a button hole. This costs a few dollars. How many people wear cufflinks in casual wear?
