SpookyRex says:
Moons ago - way back in the 50's to be precise - my childhood self loved a storybook about someone (a boy?) who for some reason ended up at peril in a giant's house, and was taken under the wing, literally, of a cuckoo-clock cuckoo and his wife. Mister Cuckoo wore carpet slippers and spectacles, I am sure. What was the title of the **** book??? I simply cannot remember, and all the old cuckoo-clock books I have Googled (and there are a fair few of them, surprisingly) have turned out to be no-nos.
Any ideas anyone????
