I was very excited when my popper arrived and I immediately followed the directions to make my first batch. . . .which did not work. The kernels were burnt, the percentage that popped was far too low, and the steam gets trapped inside and makes the popped kernels chewy and horrible. Also- the glass handle is so hot it is very difficult to get out of the microwave (the handle is so thin and slippery that an oven glove just made it worse.) I am returning this terrible popper to Cucina Direct immediately.

It made a single batch of delightful, oil free popcorn.

On its 2nd use the handle broke off and took half of the side of the jar with it,
